ThreadCrate Is Moving Fulfillment

We have some exciting news to share…

As of January 2022, ThreadCrate will no longer be a one-woman show!

2021 was a year full of ups and downs for ThreadCrate. This small subscription box company grew rapidly and experienced all sorts of growing pains. It has reached a point where fulfillment can no longer be run by one person alone. As such, ThreadCrate will now be using a fulfillment center in the Midwest.

This is great news for subscribers because it means an end to shipment delays!

The transition to our new fulfillment center is currently in progress. We are excited to have a team of 10 people who will ensure subscribers receive their crates on time.

ThreadCrate is still going to be an amazing value for subscribers. Cassandra will still be the one curating everything that goes in the crates. The only thing that is changing is the location from where the crates are shipped!

We are so thankful for all our subscribers and their patience over the past couple of months. It has been rough in so many ways. The new fulfillment center will hopefully help us put an end to the delays.

ThreadCrate was started during a pandemic but has been able to achieve some amazing things! Here are some highlights from 2021:

  • Launched ThreadCrate Men and ThreadCrate Kids, two of the only sewing subscription boxes that are not just for women.
  • Added customization options to our regular crates, such as the ability to choose an extra yard of fabric instead of the pattern.
  • Celebrated our one-year anniversary.
  • Reached a 600-subscriber milestone!
  • Moved ThreadCrate's headquarters to a bigger building.
  • Endured the headache of changing shipping providers.
  • Started a blog to help our subscribers learn new sewing skills and techniques.
  • Created a printable Fabric Guide.
  • Successfully curated and shipped several seasonal crates in addition to our regular and mini options.

We’re excited to see where 2022 takes us. Let’s make it the best year yet!
